Westwick Row -  Temporary Closure

Notice has been received from the Crown Estate that Westwick Row will be closed for its entire length between certain hours for up to 12 weeks from Monday 19th March.  This will be to facilitate the removal of unauthorised soil from Westwick Row Farm.

Hours of closure will be from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.  Access will be available to residential properties.

There will be maximum of 60 lorry movements per day and these will all access the farm from the A4147, there should be no disturbance to residents at the Leverstock Green end of Westwick Row.

A vehicle wash plant will be installed at Westwick Row Farm to wash the tyres of lorries leaving to prevent mud being spread on the public highway.

There are likely to be lorry movements during the week commencing 12th March to set up machinery, etc, but no soil will be removed during this period.

Hertfordshire County Council have separately stated that Westwick Row will be closed for twelve days from Thursday 15th March for unspecified road works.  This is believed to be connected with water main works towards the Green Lane end of the road.  As with the above closure, access will be available to residential properties.
