Village Fete 2010 First of all the LGVA would like to thank our corporate sponsors.
Our Village Fete held on Westwick Field was brilliant in so many ways. For maybe the first time in a decade there was no concern about the weather in the days prior to the event. This year the theme was FAIRY TALES, and nine stalls were entered for the "Best Dressed Stall". The standard of entry was once again very high with the winner’s trophy going to Holy Trinity Church for their depiction of “The Gingerbread Boy”.
Highly Commended rosettes were also awarded
This year saw the first competition for scarecrows and while numbers may have been a bit thin in the inaugural year the quality of entry was amazingly high
Congratulations to everyone who entered, and we hope to see more of you entering next year.
The Annual Dog Show There were more entries to all categories in the dog show this year than ever before, and we would like to thank Paul Carl for undertaking the difficult task of judging our four-legged friends Here is the full list of winners
There were of course many other attractions and stalls with a superb line-up of Classic Cars at the bottom of the field
In the main hall there was a model railway layout from the North London Society of Model Engineers , and a display of superb local art in the Westwick Room where the Art & Craft Exhibition was held.
Some LGVA Stalls
Beer Tent and BBQ
Once again thanks you to the kind support given by The Snow Centre
