2008 saw a much better turnout to the AGM than seen in recent years

At the AGM as well as the presentation of the Buglass award to Mick Reeve, two tankards were presented to two local shopkeepers who are retiring. John Bates from Spar and Larry Carr of the village butcher. Afterwards it was discovered that John  had run the Spar shop for 41 years!
